These coasters are created with the art of paper mache. They come as a set of 6 coasters. Each coaster has been hand painted with different motifs inspired by the lives of the artisans.

This is a Fair Trade product handmade by artisans in the Kashmir region of India. This is a land of little opportunity since it is a disputed area between Pakistan and India. The artisans used to depend on their handicrafts by selling them to tourists, who used to flock to this area. However, recent times of turmoil and terrorism has made this a less than desirable tourist destination, putting the artisans’ livelihood at risk. By purchasing this product, you are supporting the lives of countless people that live at risk.
