SETU hosted a special workshop for the incredible women of Govindgarh village, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The theme was “Entrepreneurship & Self-Reliance,” a step towards empowering women to realize their potential and take control of their own futures.
More than 50 women participated in the workshop. The main motto was to make the women aware about the importance of self-reliance, develop self-confidence, build collective strength and spread awareness about menstrual hygiene.
The session was filled with warmth and insights as the women shared their personal journeys—each story a testament to resilience and determination. Their struggles, their dreams, and their courage to overcome obstacles truly inspired everyone.
Entrepreneurship and self-reliance are more than just words; they are pathways to freedom. When a woman stands on her own, she doesn’t just change her life, she transforms her community. She becomes a symbol of hope, strength, and possibility for all other women around her. Each step towards independence is a step toward a better world for all.
To make the day even more special, we held a fun Henna/Mehandi Design Competition where creativity and skill took centre stage. It was heartwarming to see the joy and excitement as the winners were announced, and prizes were given to honour their beautiful artistry. We also took a moment to discuss something very important: menstrual hygiene. The health and well-being of women is our priority, so we distributed free sanitary napkins to ensure every woman has the access she deserves.
The day was made even sweeter with snacks and a sense of community, reminding us that we are all stronger together.
The workshop wasn’t just a celebration; it was a step towards a brighter future, where women rise, thrive, and become the architects of their own success. Here’s to every woman finding her voice, strength, and independence!
