Computer Training Center for Blue Pottery Women Artisans

In today’s world, especially after the pandemic outbreak, everything has become “online”….be it kids’ schooling, shopping, news, entertainment, any type of registration, everything involves the use of technology & internet. And so computer knowledge has become the need of the hour. However, the underprivileged & uneducated women severely lack in this domain and are often dependent upon others when it comes to computer related tasks. In this fast changing world, this disparity may further increase. And so SETU envisions making the needy women, computer literate.

Thus, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, another Computer Training Center was started by SETU for the women artisans near Bagru, Rajasthan. These women artisans are associated with SETU for the past many years and are engaged in creating & painting of Blue Pottery art form.

Smiles of hope and confidence

Computer knowledge is an integral part of every field in today’s technology based world & is useful even in traditional art forms. This will not only enable the artisans to become tech savvy in day to day life, but they can also stay updated about the latest trends in contemporary product designs and study their competitors.

The Program was inaugurated with team head Rashmi addressing and motivating the women artisans. The day began by a positive response from women, with 20 registrations on the first day itself. The complete training will be provided completely free of cost. A qualified trainer has been appointed to conduct the classes daily.
