Skill up gradation workshop for silver jewellery artisans

With an objective to constantly upgrade the skill sets of artisans, Kallista designs in association with SETU Society, organised a skill up-gradation workshop for the silver jewelry artisans at Jaipur.

These artisans are working with us since a long time and we have supported them in multiple ways, like: by providing monetary help in purchasing raw material for jewellery, by sponsoring advanced machinery for finishing and cleaning during the jewellery making process, Design support etc. To help them earn sustainable livelihood, Kallista also provides a marketing platform to sell their products overseas. Artisans are also guided on capacity building, cost optimization, accouting etc.

To further help them keep abreast with the changing market scenario, a workshop was organized for the artisans by our expert designers. The workshop started with a discussion on the current jewellery design trends in the overseas market, with details of the product designs that are in demand now a days. Artisans were presented with a video clip featuring a detailed description of the trends & materials which are currently popular among the customers. Also, modern production & finishing techniques were shown to the artisans to improve their quantum & quality. The artisans were very happy to see the video clip as they got to learn the latest trends in the market and want more such workshops to be organised in the future.. 🙂
