Trend Forecast For Spring Summer 2022

It is difficult to imagine this world in the `post-Covid’ era. However, human spirit has always prevailed and has come out even stronger after the most difficult of crises. Keeping this positivity in mind, Designers and Trend forecasters around the world have come up with the season’s colors & style trends.

Due to long periods of isolation and uncertainty, people would draw energy from nature, familiarity and simple pleasures of daily life. But connection with digital tools has also become an important part of everyday life and will also be celebrated. This season’s trends will represent this duality and would range from organic hues to artificially enhanced tones. Consumers will also incline towards tones that spark joy & nostalgia; and reconnect with home-made familiar products, organic and sustainable appeal, and retro moments. Throughout, the desire to balance the newness with the need for familiarity and dependability will be prominent. Slow Fashion will be back in!

Color Trends for the season..

1. Butter…

This is a soft, tender & creamier tone of yellow for summer minimal aesthetic. Yellow has been popular in the last 3 years & so consumers would seek these reassuring, familiar yellow shades that bring comfort and optimism. 

 

2. Olive Oil…

This is the nourishing, plant based hue of Olive Oil. Green is associated with nature, and with prolonged periods of isolation, wildlife and nature’s vitality will be comforting and calming to consumers…

 

3. Mango Sorbet…

This illuminating yellow color will help consumers to feel reassured and optimistic.  It can be used to add a dash of energy to seasonal palettes, enhancing feelings of happiness & well-being.  It can also bring a digital twist to palettes. This is the color of vivacity and positivity!

 

4. Atlantic Blue…

This palette has a deep and energizing quality that will stand out in both real-life and digital settings. It is also adaptable through all seasons and continents. In these difficult times, the saturated & playful magenta tone will be a vibrant way to create a sense of positivity and escapism.

 

Style trends for the season..

1. Minimalistic…

This trend is inspired by totems, ancient sculptures and modernized geometric forms, which have been simplified to subdue the chaos of urban life. Natural and man-made materials are brought together to experiment with designs in which digital and the real world go in sync. This trend also creates digital looks and uses clever surface techniques to achieve simple yet pleasing airs.

 

2. Rustic…

This trend reconnects the consumers to the idyllic and home-made comfort. The trend takes its inspirations from rural living and is intended to surround the consumer in the peaceful comfort of old memories. Metallic gold or foil can also be added in contrast to the raw & rustic appeal. The use of natural, sustainable and local raw materials brings out the best results.

 

3. Ribbed…

The trend idea is to create ageless elements with a modern feel, playing with ribs and color pallets to give a revitalizing, bright and energizing appeal. Products with raw edges, ribbed grooves and rounds are emotionally reassuring to consumers. This trend is inspired by the summer picnic checks in combination with revitalizing color palettes.
